API Request

Query Parameters

All parameters are passed as query string parameters. At least one of host-name or ipAddress must be provided.

formatoptionalStringdefault: json

Response format: 'json' (default) or 'xml'.

host-namerequiredString

Hostname or URL whose DNS records required.

ipAddressoptionalString

The IP address for requested DNS's PTR record.

typerequiredArray

A comma-separated list of DNS record types for lookup. The values can be A, AAAA, MX, NS, SOA, SPF, TXT, CNAME, or all. When ipAddress is provided, type must be "all".

API Response Schema

A successful request returns a 200 OK response with a JSON object containing DNS records. The response includes the top-level fields listed below. See the response preview on the right for the full JSON structure.

status

Booleanmandatory

Indicates whether the query was processed successfully (true or false).

queryTime

Stringmandatory

Time at which the query was made. (Format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss)

domainName

Stringmandatory

Queried domain.

domainRegistered

Booleanmandatory

Indicates whether the domain is registered (true) or not (false).

dnsTypes

Objectmandatory

Map of DNS record types to the number of records found for each type.

ipAddress

Stringoptional

The IP address for requested DNS PTR record. This field is present only when the ipAddress query parameter is provided.

Custom Response Headers

Besides the response body, every response carries custom headers you can use to track credit usage, and concurrency usage on endpoints that enforce a concurrency limit. See the Custom Response Headers documentation and the endpoints with concurrency limits for more details.

Query Parameters

All parameters are passed as query string parameters. At least one of host-name or ipAddress must be provided.
