APIFreaks is a first-party API platform, meaning we do not license, list or resell anyone else's work. We write and run every API on it ourselves, from the data pipelines behind them to the infrastructure they answer from, which is why the whole catalog behaves one way: whichever API you call, on whichever plan, the rules are the same. Add your second API and you already know how it works, and your fifth costs you an afternoon. A developer in the docs and an agent on the wire hit the same APIs. APIFreaks launched in 2024, a product of JFreaks Software Solutions, which has been building software from Lahore, Pakistan since 2016 and is funded entirely by customers, with no outside investors. We are not a marketplace, a reseller, or a data broker.

The catalog is meant to stay up, not just stay listed. Average Uptime SLA is above 99.99%, and you can watch it yourself on the status page.
Why we exist
If you needed several APIs, you went to a marketplace, and a marketplace sells other companies' work. So the rules changed with every API you added. A different way to authenticate, a different error format, a separate subscription and quota, and a support ticket forwarded to a company you never chose.
That is not a quality problem and it is not anyone's fault. It is structural. Every provider on a marketplace decides independently, and nobody in the middle has standing to overrule them. A marketplace can enforce a billing wrapper and a search index. It cannot enforce a contract: one set of rules that every API in the catalog obeys.
We started building the other kind in 2024. Every API on it is ours, written and run by our own engineers, because one set of rules can only hold across a catalog somebody actually owns. It means an API we shipped last week works exactly like one we shipped on day one, so you never have to check which is which before you integrate.
It also means everything here is something we can answer for. Every endpoint, every schema, every error code, every price, and every dataset an API reads from. Nothing is licensed from an upstream source and resold under our name, so any correction to a number happens in our pipeline, not a provider's.

These rows are about what each structure allows, and structure is the one thing a platform cannot change later.
What it changes
You learn one authentication pattern, one set of response formats and one error reference, and it holds everywhere. Nothing you work out on the first API gets unlearned on the fourth, and adding a category you have never used before starts from what you already know.
Credits are charged only on a successful response. The reason is the incentive: billing on attempts would mean earning more from calls that returned no result, and we would rather that never be a line in our revenue. Every response also reports its own cost in the X-AF-Credits-Cost header, so your spend is auditable from your own logs rather than from a dashboard we control.
Your costs cannot be moved by somebody you never contracted with. When a price changes here it changes because we changed it, and we post it on Announcements dated, with the old figure beside the new one.
Versions work the same way. When V2.0 shipped, V1.0 stayed fully functional, so the migration is yours to schedule rather than ours to impose.
Nothing you build on can be taken away by a third party, because there is no third party. Every API you integrate stays ours to keep running.
A plan decides how much you can use, not what you are allowed to touch. You will never find out later that the response you rely on only exists on a plan above yours.
Developers and AI agents
Most API documentation is written for a person who reads it once and remembers. We write ours for a caller that reads it fresh on every request. A developer reads it once. An agent reads it every time, and it has no way to fill a gap with judgement.
That changes what documentation has to be. Every API has a reference page for developers, with the full request specification and the response schema for failures as well as successes, a playground for trying it before you write anything, and the whole catalog is covered by one Postman collection. Every one of those reference pages also exists in a second form built for machines to read directly: the same content as structured Markdown, YAML and JSON, at a predictable path next to the human page. An agent does not parse a page meant for a person. It reads the version written for it.
Our llms.txt and llms-full.txt are generated from a full crawl of the site rather than written by hand, so what a model reads there is the documentation itself, not a summary produced for marketing.
Our MCP Server goes further and makes the catalog directly callable: a full set of tools covering every category, available in Claude, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients. It runs on your own machine rather than through anything we host, so your key never leaves your configuration, and every API we ship appears in it automatically.
None of that needed a second product. Because every API here answers the same way, an agent that can call one can call all of them, with no per-API handling to write and nothing to relearn when we add more.

APIFreaks is a product of JFreaks Software Solutions, a customer-funded software company based in Lahore, Pakistan, building since 2016. There is no investor, no board, and nobody outside the company deciding what gets built or what it costs. Every category on the platform exists because a customer asked for it or because we needed it ourselves.
That parentage is not a badge. The billing platform, the support standards, and the habit of publishing what changes are the same ones running across the group, and the group has had longer to earn them than APIFreaks has.
